About

I have been a resident of Maine since 2002 and resident of Kittery since 2015. I grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska in a household where my parents dedicated portions of their personal and professional lives in service to others; whether it was adults living with developmental disabilities or helping to organize and advocate on behalf of the rural economy. Being raised in such an environment provided a great example of what positive civic engagement can do and be for a community. I have been an entrepreneur since the age of 20. I’ve built two Maine based IT services companies and currently employ (13) people. We are proud to serve clients large and small from the Mid-coast to Seacoast and all across the country.

Why I’m running: I want to serve on the town council to give back to the community I live in and care about. I intend to work with integrity and accountability on your behalf. I will listen, learn, collaborate and help make decisions for the best possible future for Kittery. In my 25-year career in IT, and as a small business owner, I’ve spent much of my time managing complex projects and negotiating difficult challenges with competing priorities. These skills will be an asset on the town council and will allow me to serve the residents, business owners and property owners of Kittery. Having observed and participated in some of the issues important to residents, I commit to being transparent in positions I stake out. Those positions will be informed by feedback from residents, town personnel and when required, experts on the particular subject. I’m an open minded person with a willingness to discuss, learn and then have a respectful debate. Being a small business owner has taught me to value practicality and pragmatism over any preconceptions on a given issue.
